Tuner Special: Loder1899 Jaguar XF
FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany — Loder1899, a longtime tuner of Ford products, has taken on the Jaguar XF, giving it the full treatment with both cosmetic and performance tweaks.
Loder’s engine tuning bumps the power output of the 2.7-liter turbodiesel V6 from 207 to 249 horsepower. Torque increases from 321 to 385 pound-feet. The car now makes the sprint past 60 mph in 7.6 seconds, versus 8.2 seconds for the stock oil burner.
A body kit adds front and rear apron spoilers and a trunk lid spoiler. The tuned suspension drops the car 35 millimeters (1.4 inches), and the buyer has a choice of 20- or 21-inch wheels. The entire parts package costs the equivalent of about $12,400.
