Anna Kournikova and Johnny Depp Top Celeb Car Wash Poll
NOTTINGHAM, England — In a recent poll published by the U.K.’s leading car supermarket, Motorpoint, Anna Kournikova and Johnny Depp were singled out as the celebrities people would most like to see wash their car.
The tennis star, although winless in her professional singles career, managed to clinch 27 percent of the total votes and the respectable title of “Car Wash Belle.” Trailing just behind was singer Christina Aguilera with 23 percent; actress Scarlett Johansson was in 3rd place, with 16 percent of the votes.
Johnny Depp, who plays Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, was nominated as the man people would most like to see out on their driveway with a sponge and bucket in hand. He took the “Car Wash Hunk” title with 25 percent of the votes, barely beating fellow actors George Clooney and Ewan McGregor.
“Washing your car is often thought of as just a routine part of vehicle maintenance. However, our study shows that drivers wouldn’t pass on a helping hand from a celebrity. When it comes to my own car, I would have to go for our very own ‘British Belle’ Kelly Brook,” commented John Hood, general manager at Motorpoint Derby.
Some other familiar names appearing in the Top 10 include Transformers star Megan Fox and soccer icon David Beckham.
