Watersports Car: Gibbs Aquada amphibian — the ultimate crossover?

Remember the Amphicar? The world’s only mass-produced amphibious automobile could indeed be driven on land, down a boat launch, where it could then doggy-paddle slowly across the water. By any truly objective measure, it was a terrible car that made an even worse boat, so production ended in 1963 after just three years and 3878 units. The survivors are immensely popular today, with drive-in regattas scheduled periodically around the world.
