Last Dodge Viper Is One of a Kind
- The last 2010 Dodge Viper was delivered to its new owner, D’Ann Rauh.
- Rauh’s Viper is factory-customized with copper stripes.
- The Rauh family owns more than 40 Vipers.
DETROIT — D’Ann Rauh and her husband, Wayne Rauh, of Arp, Texas, have just added one last model to what is described as the world’s largest personal collection of Dodge Vipers. The latest Viper — a factory-customized edition painted bronze gold — also happens to be the last one off the line at Chrysler’s Conner Avenue assembly plant here.
Taking delivery at the plant, the Rauhs were joined by Dodge boss Ralph Gilles and plant manager Shelly Brown Gordon.
Since the car went into production in 1992, the Rauhs have amassed a personal collection of more than 40 Vipers. The newest member of the collection was created together with the Dodge design team, Chrysler’s SRT group, House of Kolor and Venzano and features layouts of Viper-significant racetracks airbrushed into the custom-painted copper stripes.
Rauh’s Viper is the last of the 2010 models off the line in Detroit. A new-generation Viper is tentatively planned for 2012-’13.
