Poll: 2011 Ford Explorer vs. 2011 Dodge Durango – What’s your pick?

If you chose the Grd Cherokee…then you’d be choosing the new Durango. Both the GC & Durango share a common platform which itself was jointly developed with M-B with the intention of using the same platform for next-gen versions of the GLK, ML, R, GL vehicles. Just knowing that bit of info shows that the the GC & Durango are some “very well thought-out” vehicles. So many models from one extremely versatile platform.
I won’t discredit the new Explorer though. Ford has done a great job at keeping the icon fresh and innovative. They knew that the majority of past Explorer owners rarely used it’s off-road capabilities and made a more street-oriented CUV that should appeal to the very audience that should eventually purchase it.
